Alteration
Alteration Description
Waist In - Center Back
MAX 2 INCHES. Takes in the waist and seat by adjusting the centre back seam. This brings the pockets closer together, and in some cases the central seam won't stay perfectly straight.
Waist in - With Darts
MAX 3 INCHES. Takes in the waistband and adds vertical darts in order to maintain the original central seam and give a discreet alteration. Note - the larger the alteration, the longer the darts will need to become.
Waist In - From Sides
MAX 3 INCHES. Takes in the waist by taking in from the side seams at the back, leaving the central seam straight. This is limited by the amount of space between the seams and back pockets as a small gap will need to be maintained.
Waist in - Maximum
MAX 5 INCHES. Using a combination of waist-in options, we will take in the waist to the maximum possible for your requested amount. If you select this option, please let us know which of the other waist-in options you'd like to use to get the look you want.
Shorten
Reduces the length of your trousers while maintaining the original finish and shape where possible.
Legthen Hem
Extending the length of the trousers, using the existing seam allowance to max possible.
Narrow/Taper Leg
Slimming the width of each leg by taking them in from the outer side seams, starting from hips or knee down to the hem.
Upsize
Adding a panel of fabric into the side seams and waistband of the trousers, in a contrasting or matching fabric colour. For this type of alteration is requires adding a minimum of 2 inches to the waistline. We recommend to send in a matched item of the same style and fabric for our tailors to match the measurments to. In some cases, the existing seam allowance can be released to provide extra wiggle room.
